17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, California
17-Mile Drive is probably one of the better known sights along California Highway 1. It is located near Monterey in famous Pebble Beach, California. You do have to pay for access to the drive (currently $9.25 per vehicle), but you should do it at least once. One of the highlights is The Ghost Tree, a turnout which offers wonderful scenic views.
