Crown Fountain, Millenium Park, Chicago
Millennium Park offers an endless array of entertainment and art. Another highlight is the Crown Fountain. Designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, it is truly amazing. LED screens on two huge glass towers display images of Chicagoans. At times water flows through an outlet given the impression that the person spouts water. During hot summer days, young and old enjoy the cooling water and at times you can't even see the shallow pool between the towers when it turns into a sea of people.
This piece of art is truly surprising and as inspiring as it is innovative and artistic.
