Illuminated London Guarantee Building, Chicago
One aspect I truly enjoyed about Chicago, and one that I had only experienced before in New York and San Francisco, is the fact that the city turns into a completely different city at night. It's as if it has two personalities, one as beautiful as the other but still different.
I loved walking around at night, down Michigan Avenue, tripod in hand and ready for anything. The Chicago River with its many wonderful bridges and old and new buildings along it shore nearly begs to be photographed at night. Everything is beautifully illuminated, while the river offers ample opportunities for reflections. Once I get started, I wish the night would never end and I usually don't get back until the wee morning hours.
