Morro Rock, Sunset, California
Morro Rock has somewhat become the symbol of Morro Bay. It’s a volcanic plug and home to protected falcons. As a result, the rock itself is not accessible and it is actually prohibited to climb it. The area around the rock, however, is open to the public and often used for fishing or beach access. From here you also have a nice view of the harbor and town.
