Neptune Pool, Hearst Castle, California
Hearst Castle is one of the better known landmarks along Highway 1 and in California. Built by newspaper magnate William R. Hearst as his home, it was donated to the State of California after his death. Today it is a National Historic Landmark and open to the public for tours. Pictured above is part of the Neptune Pool, a huge outdoor swimming pool that is just magnificent.
