The Chicago "L"
If you didn't grow up in Chicago or New York or any other city that runs an elevated train system, you are in for a treat. Any kind of bus, tram, or even subway system simply isn't the same. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is just something about the "L" in the middle of downtown Chicago.
If you want to explore the city, the "L" (for elevated) is the perfect way to do it. It's just so much fun riding on the train between high-rises, turning corners high above traffic and pedestrians, and crossing the bridges over the Chicago River.
Of course, the "L" also offers some unique photo opportunities as it adds something different to any street scene.
